October Joint Transportation Report

The legislature’s Joint Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs committee met September 26 and 27 in Newcastle. At this meeting, the committee continued their discussion of vehicle registration fees and if the current depreciation schedule for the county portion of the fee needs to be changed.

September Joint Corporations Report

The legislature's Joint Corporations committee met September 18 and 19 in Lander. In contrast to many Corporations committee meetings, there was only one topic of prime importance to counties on the agenda: a discussion of municipal jurisdiction outside of city limits.

September Joint Revenue Committee Report

The legislature's Joint Revenue Committee met in Buffalo September 12 and 13 to continue discussions related to their mandate to advance options of generating 100, 200 and 300 million in revenue. This is the third meeting of the Joint Revenue Committee this interim, and two additional meetings are planned.

Joint Judiciary Committee Report

Yesterday in Sheridan the Joint Judiciary Committee discussed draft legislation to delineate responsibilities for the funding of IT in courts across the state.
